The Columbia Shuswap Regional District is embarking on a master plan for a greenway from Squilax to Scotch Creek.  They voted in favour of giving the contract to draw up a master plan to Stuart Parker Forest Consulting. It will look at the section of highway from First Nations Community of Squilax to the community of Scotch Creek.   In a memo to the CSRD Board, Community Parks and Recreation Planner Roger Beardmore said the plan is to delineate a separated, designated multi-use pathway parallel to the road.  Beardmore said of the three bids, Stuart Parker was not only the lowest, but the strongest.  The Board approved the cost of 21 thousand to develop the plan.
