SPORTS:B.C. Women’s Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships

In golf, the B.C. Women's Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships played at Canoe Creek Golf Course in Salmon Arm over the last two days.  Christina Spence Proteau of Port Alberni held onto first place in both championships with one shot ahead of Port Coquitlam's Soo Bin Kim.  Sue Kim of Langley is alone in third.  In the Mid-Amateur Championship, Jackie Little of Port Alberni. maintained second place while Karen Pultz of Surrey moved to third. Kim Evans of Terrace rounded out the top four.
