More Childcare Spaces in Shuswap

The non-profit Shuswap Daycare society is getting over one- hundred thousand dollars to create 15 new child care spaces.

Okanagan-Shuswap MLA George Abbott says the funding will support the creation of spaces for children above 30 months in age and assist with costs of purchasing  a modular building, site prep, equipment and furnishings.

The BC government says they've provided funds to support the creation of more than 5500 new licensed child care spaces.
