Hummingbird Resort Project
Details for the $42 million 9-acre Hummingbird Resort being developed by Mara Lake Estates' for Mara Lake were released this week. The resort, being developed South of Sicamous, plan to build 12 high-end beachfront townhomes, 35 three bedroom cabins, 4 that will be lakefront and 33 creekside cottage sites.
Prices will range from $250,000 to $1.2 million. James Askew, president of the rareEarth Project Marketing company in charge of marketing and sales of recreational real estate says that Hummingbird Resort was built to completion before going to a sales launch and is to emulate the classic cottage lakefront vacations popularized in Hollywood movies. Local trades will be hired to do the bulk of the building as part of the developer's commitment to support the community.
