Cooper Will Run for Mayor against Bootsma

Municipal elections take place this fall and although it's a little early for the campaign trail, Salmon Arm Mayor Marty Bootsma already knows he won't be getting in by acclamation.

Former Councilor and Mayoral Candidate Nancy Cooper has announced her intention to run for Mayor again.

Bootsma says he welcomes Cooper in the race and he expects she won't be the only one vying for the chair.

"It's a job that I'm making look pretty good and I can understand why everybody would want it."

Cooper ran for Mayor in the last election and lost by just single digit votes.
