London vocalist Paul Johnson was in Paradise before he was signed to a solo deal by Columbia in 1987. While a nice, if somewhat bland, singer in the Urban Contemporary mode, Johnson's singles didn't make much headway. His best performance has been "Words Into Action," a duet with Mica Paris that was included on her LP So Good. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
