With each album in the 1990s, Natas moved their music forward both as MCs and in terms of production, evolving from a juvenile exploitation group into an earnest group serious about changing the rap game with their increasingly realized rap style, a potent merger of Funkadelic guitar funk and Def Jam-era Rick Rubin-influenced beats.
