Thank You Fire Fighters

Saturday night we attended the Salmon Arm Fire Fighters Awards Banquet at the New Elks Lodge on 30^th St.

Steven was the MC again this year and kept us laughing. Chief Brad Shirley told us that with 77 on call fire fighters we have one of the largest volunteer fire departments in the province and their response time is below the provincial average.

Long Service Awards were handing out to eight fire fighters:

John Hanna for 35 years of service

For 30 years of service to Jim Lepine and Jerry Jones.

For 25 years of service to Russ Palmer, Gary Owens, Henry Bland, and Rick Webb.

And for 20 years of service to Chris Lowe.

Thank you to all of our Fire Fighters serving in the entire Shuswap for being there for us.
