In 1976, after 15 years with Don Robey's Back Beat label, Memphis soul doctor O.v. Wright signed with Hi Records under the close supervision of Willie Mitchell. Supported vocally by Rhodes Chambers and The Rhodes Singers and supercharged by The Memphis Strings and Horns, Wright cut a songbook of memorable ballads and funky tunes.
